Its been all tragedy and mayhem unleashed on Nigerians and other Africans residing in South Africa as indigenous South Africans engage in another round of xenophobia.
In a recent development, the xenophobic attacks which has gone viral both on social media and government quarters, sparks mixed reactions among Nigerians back home and has degenerated into reprisal attacks on South African own businesses in Nigeria.
Among the South African businesses targeted for this attacks are MTN, DSTV, Shoprite and many others yet to be be listed.
It has been reported that MTN building in Apapa area of Lagos has been attacked and other Shoprite business complexes have been ordered to shut down after several protest and attacks by angry young Nigerians.
The Nigerian government earlier through the minister of international affairs summoned the South African envoy in Nigeria to give an explanation on the attacks on Nigerians.
In a related development, the South African government has said there is no justification for the attacks on Nigeria and other Africans residing in South Africa.
